Jonielle & Danathon Batchelder's Wedding

So Jon and Danielle got married over the weekend of June 10th in Oberlin, KS. I think that I can safely say that the wedding party was just to much for the small rural town of Oberlin. Without a doubt everyone had a blast. The drive out there was long, flat, and hot, but since we stopped to see the worlds largest ball of twine it made it all worth. Weird, but that drive out really did make me miss good ole KS. I got a picture somewhere, but at the moment I'm having trouble tracking it down.

So as the story goes, the rehersal dinner was a blast. Jon's on the fly public speaking skills where comical to say the least. I will not even pretend like I would have been able to do any better. Mike and I decided that since we both came without dates that we had to be an excuse to be a bit wilder than usual. After the rehersal dinner most of the wedding party decided to tour the mean streets of Oberlin. That was an experience to say the least. Bars in rural KS, heck ya!

Before the wedding while the woman folk where getting ready all us guys had to burn some time. What is there to do in Oberlin on a Saturday morning? Well my friend you go out into a field and shoot ground squirrels with assult rifles... that is what you do.

The wedding was fun and very traditional. Mike and I had our usher responsibilties. Which I might add I'm very good at. This is usher gig number 3 in the last two years. I'm about as noble an ushers as you can get, trust me. All the lovely ladies I escorted where very impressed ... or somethinglike that.

The reception was well ... legendary. Honestly I prolly should have not drank quit so much, but well that was the only way I could keep dancing. I think my dance card consisted of something like ... Erin Beando (Erin that was the longest damn running dance ever), Michelle, Mike (he lead), Mrs. Batchelder, Mr. Bailey (I lead), Mrs. Bailey, Megan, Michael (he lead, but I did the dipping). It was a blast to say the least. I'm thinking that after reading all the guys on my dance card I'm definitely bring a date to the next wedding. Congratz Jon and Danielle!!
