The Twilight Zone ... I call it Louisburg, KS

So I have officially moved back to Kansas. Crazy. I know to my casual subscribers this may come as sort of a shock. Well there where a lot of factors and even more though put into the choice. In the end I think it is definitely what is best for me right now. I have got a job up in Overland Park, KS working on some Flash & Flex technologies. Wish me luck folks ... I'll prolly need it.

The move went ok. Dad Dunn arrived and I think I had about 75% of my apartment packed up. So we got the rest of it packed up and on our way we went. The trip was really slow going due to the fact that we had a funky trailer with a crazy wielded extension on it. Despite packing the trailer with the majority of the weight in front this thing would start to fish tail everytime we went over 65mph. This really can make a 20 hour trip drag out when you are getting nascar style passed on the highways by those hybrid golf cart looking cars. I lost a bit of my manliness on that trip I think. But in the end we did finally get there and I'm slowly but surely getting moved into my parents house.

On that note ... I'm complete freaking out. I have not called my parents house home since sometime in 2001. Since that time I have either lived alone or with roommates. So now waking up to Mom trying to make me breakfast, dinner, and doing my laundry is well ... crazy, weird, disturbing. Don't get me wrong, I totally appreciate what my parents do for me. Heck, let alone allowing me to move back is a huge inconvenience to them, and at the same time I knew they would welcome me without a question when I asked. The problem is that I really feel like I just went back in time. I mean I just went from being 1100 miles away from anyone related to me to ... 10 feet. Eek! With that change went all that responsibility too. Strange how I feel like I don't need to worry about all the adult stuff living with them. Ha ha... in some weird way I think they will just take care of it. So I guess this is going to take some getting used to here. I am in the process of retaining an "adult" residence... be it a house or renting again (which has really got to stop).

To all the great friend I made in Kutztown, PA thanks for all the great memories. You guys really are the best and if any of you ever make out to the beautiful rolling hills and sandy beaches of Kansas give me a call. I'll prolly be either sun tanning or surfing.
