Glory Days

Well since my last post I have been all over the place. I went on a road trip with Thomas and Criag out to St. Louis to see Mike and Jon. It was a good time and we toured around the outer St. Louis suburbs, we didn't have a chance to go out to the Landing on this trip. But without a doubt it was a good time, and it was a trip that not long ago I figured would be a thing of the past. Everyone was doing good. I got to meet Mike's girlfriend, and learned a bit more about the wild world of sports gambling. Not my thing, but certainly can be fun.

The following week I went up to Manhattan to see Maurico, who after graduation moved to Orlando, FL (what is with these people taking off to some random place after graduation?). He was in town to see his brother and sister who go to KSU. It was fun, but every single time I come back to Manhattan more and more things change. People, places, and hahaha I swear everyone looks so young! I guess that might have more to do with my 25th birthday coming and a lot less to do with the student body.

As we where having a drink at Fats (the greatest Bar in Aggievillie). I meet up with Rob who is trying to beat my record of 5.5 years in college. He is still on the soccer team and asked me if I wanted to play a game against Southern Baptist College on Sunday. How could I refuse? I told him that I would be more than willing to show and play a bit. I remember being very clear that I said it would be cool to get in for a couple of minutes, but nothing major. I didn't want to take any time away from the players who where on the team.

Well I show up to the field and see a few familiar faces and lot of news one. After talking to a couple of guys I get some key information that I didn't get last night, namely that the KSU team had two games today, one in Witchita and one at home. So this posed a major problem getting enough people to each game. As I'm learning this the hamesters in my head are running as fast as they can to make the connect that ... yep... they are just barely going to have enough people to play. Meaning... I'm going to have to play damn near the entire game. Hahahaha.... well I did have a great time and I really wasn't out of shape (thank God). We ended up winning the game 4-1 and I played most of the game at sweeper. I was a little sore after it was all said and done, but nothing to whine about as far as any bodily functions failing.

"...I got to meet Mike's girlfriend..."

It's always nice to find out your brother has a girlfriend (as opposed to a boyfriend i guess) on a friends blog....good work Mikey
