hhhmmmm.........
Well I got to be honest, I'm scared. After the initial thrill of another new google application subsided, I began to play, make a post or two, and just browse around. In my own opinion the most notable feature is the geolocation feature. In addition to being able to see what your friends are saying, you can also see what people AROUND YOU are saying. With pin point geolocation you could potentially drive right up the door of a complete stranger and give that individual your two cents on the comment he or she made.
Of course there are ways to turn off the feature, but I feel like this really opens the doors for problems and an entirely new set of scams to hit your front door. As our children embrace this new application without their parent's knowledge a simple post saying "See everyone in two week, we are going to Disney World" would not only tell someone how long you're gone, but also exactly where your house is (assuming the post was made at a home computer or cell phone located in the home at the time of the post).
Just food for thought. I'll keep playing with it and try to give some more feed back, but my first impression is to much to fast. Just because technology says you can doesn't always mean you should.
For some more information on the subject...
Ok so as promised... I will continue to post information on this as I find it all very interesting.
Below is an example of the map function I was talking about.
